Newsletter - Jan 2024

Before looking forward into the new year, its always a good idea to look back and see what has been achieved in the year that has been.

The year of 2024 was not without its challenges, especially due to a tough economy, worldwide. However, this did not prevent us from still making some significant achievements at Stratford Park.

2024 Achievements

Stratford Park:

  • Several compliance and regulatory steps ticked off, such as; noise modelling, wetland review, and Geotech surveying
  • Funding awarded by TET allowed us to install power, a new entranceway, carparks and ablution block, closer to the motorsport section of the facility.
  • The Stratford Park Project is now supported by all local councils and was accepted into the nationwide ‘fast-track’ consenting process.

Motorsport:

  • The motorsport group purchased 200 concrete safety barriers from Pukekohe Raceway, with the support of many local businesses, opening the doorway to holding local events, safely.
  • They held their first official motorsport events (a driftkhana, and a rallycross), alongside their recurring Motorfest.

Equestrian:

  • The Equestrian group was able to secured their first round of funding, and the planning phase continues.

A&P and Education:

  • The A&P Association held their annual A&P show, with great success. The 2024 show had the highest attendance numbers they have had in many years- thank you to all who came along to support!
  • The group continue to explore their options for developing their land and facilities, with their sights currently on the camping grounds.
