HAVE A GO DRIVER SKILLS DAYS

Start your engines and learn some new skills at our Have a Go Driver Training Days.

We’ve our final one this year on Sunday 8 December.

Starting at 1pm, it’s just $25 to enter and you can register on the day.  Drivers under 16 require parental consent.

Enter through the MAIN STRATFORD A&P FLINT RD ENTRANCE now please.  You’ll have to turn into Pembroke Rd and drive through the Racecourse due to Flint Rd remaining shut from SH3. 

So, come along and have some fun and learn some new skills!

Taranaki Motorsport Facilities Charitable Trust

HAVE A GO DAY – MOTORKHANA – Sunday 8 Dec, 2024

 

REGULATIONS

 

1.         JURISDICTION  This meeting is a fundraiser to raise funds for the Stratford Park Motorsport facilities. 

2.        VENUE           Stratford Park at the Stratford Park Motorsport ground, Monmouth Rd East, Stratford. 

3.        THE EVENTS

             Dates:                                Sunday 20 October, Sunday 3rd November and Sunday 8th December 2024

          Venue:                        Grass Paddock

          Length:                        Various courses

          Description:               A fun day to learn new driving skills at our Motorkhana.  A slow speed event where skill is                                                  required more so than speed.  

4.        POSTPONEMENT / CANCELLATION / ABANDONMENT AND ORGANISER’S RIGHTS

The organisers reserve the right to postpone, cancel or abandon the meeting or part thereof under the following circumstances:  

Postponement:   if the weather conditions require the meeting to be postponed, delayed or abandoned for reasons of safety.   

In the event of the meeting or part thereof being cancelled or postponed, entry fees may be refunded at the discretion of the trust.   

5.        ENTRIES

a)       Entries will be paid on the day.

 b)       All drivers and passengers must sign the Indemnity, and those under 16 years of age must have their entry form countersigned by their parent/Guardian.   

  c)        The maximum number of entries will be 40. 

   
       ENTRY FEES

6.        Entry fee for all Drivers: $25.00 per event   To be paid cash on the day only.

Note:  When paying by cash then exact fee must be paid – 1 x $20 and 1 x $5 – as no change will be available.  

7.         PASSENGERS     

Passengers may be carried, provided the driver doesn’t have a Full Licence for Training purposes.  All passengers must sign an indemnity form before their run and must hold a Full Driver’s Licence and only be a Passenger if the Driver doesn’t have a Full Driver’s Licence.  Passengers may be changed between runs. 

  8.       COMPLIANCE and CLASSES    

All vehicles shall have a current Warrant of Fitness and be on Road Tyres only.  

9.       DOCUMENTATION & VEHICLE SCRUTINEERING

Documentation will take place at 1pm on the day of the event.  All competitors must report to the meeting organiser for Scrutineering and present evidence of their Driver’s Civil Licence.  If a participant has yet to gain their Restricted Licence, then a Fully Licenced person must accompany them in the car.  After attending documentation, each competitor must then present their vehicle to the organiser.  Documentation and scrutineering must be completed prior to drivers briefing. 

12.        DRIVERS BRIEFING ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY

A roll call will be held – this will take place at 1.30pm.

Any driver who is not in attendance at roll call will be disqualified from the meeting. 

13.       ALCOHOL at the venue is strictly prohibited. 

14.       THE EVENT

A series of Course’s will be held so that each Driver can Have a Go. Only one car will be on each course at once.  The number of Course’s will depend on the condition of the grass.  This will be at the discretion of the organiser..

15.       STARTING PROCEDURE & COURSE CONPLETION

Each Driver will drive between the Starting Cones and Stop.  They then drive the Course set out and come to a complete Stop, once the Course is complete. They will than park up and await their next turn. 

16.       VENUE DAMAGE

In the event of any damage occurring to any part of the venue, this is to be reported immediately to the organiser.  Any costs associated with any damage will be incurred by the driver causing the damage.

17.       RUBBISH

All competitors, supporters and crew are asked to collect all rubbish and foreign objects in and around the venue on completion of the meeting and take away with you. 

18.       PRIZEGIVING

Prizegiving will take place at the caravan at the conclusion of the meeting, once all areas are tidied and left as they were found.

STRATFORD A&P SHOW

DATE: Sat 30 November and Sunday 1 December 2024
LOCATION: Stratford A&P Showgrounds, Flint Road East.

All the fun of the fair with the largest agricultural show in the region where town meets the country. Hosting over a hundred trade and display sites, the Stratford A&P Show attracts over 12,000 people over show weekend.
