A&P event and showgrounds

Nestled under the watchful eye of Taranaki Maunga, the Stratford Park A&P Showgrounds plays host to the regions largest agricultural event each November – the Stratford A&P Show.

Each year over 12,000 people attend the annual show, packed with loads of exhibitors and trade sites and an impressive range of livestock on display.  From the many amusement rides and demonstrations to the extensive range of food to tempt even the harshest food critic, the show is an event on everyone’s calendar.

The show attracts the country’s top bred animals and riders alike, as they battle it out for the titles and impressive prize money.  The regions children get to showcase their hard work with pet lambs and calves and then enjoy all of the fun in the large Kidzone area, with loads of complimentary entertainment for the young ones.

The next show will be held on Sat 30 November and Sunday 1 December and more information can be found on the Stratford A&P Facebook page www.facebook.com/stratfordshow

The Stratford A&P Assn play host to many events throughout the year, whether it’s events they have created such as the highly popular “Fright Nights” to hosting a wide range of events where the grounds are hired by many different organisations.

Home to Stratford Speedway, each year the Stratford Speedway run the regions top motorsport attractions, with many participants camping onsite at the showgrounds, where facilities to bring motorhomes are available.
